Daydream controllers not tracking

Hi,
I’m currently trying to get a couple of daydream controllers to work as controllers for steamvr. I have watched the video and gone through the steps to connect the controllers. They are recognized and i can assign them to left and right, but under preview, they show no movement or button presses. I thought it might be the controllers, but i was able to verify that they are both working using this: https://mrdoob.github.io/daydream-controller.js/
Is there something I’m missing?
