Are there two different versions/generations of the Kinect for 360. How do I tell which one I have and what are the big differences between the two? I am planning on purchasing a used Kinect360 and start using Driver4VR, and I want to make sure I’m getting the better of the versions

    Thanks!

are you referring to other version that is for PC?
if yes that should work as well but I have not tried that.

If you are using kinect v1 then it is the xbox 360 kinect and it has what it appears to be 3 ‘cameras’. The xbox one kinect is v2 and tracks at a higher fov and resolution with more bones.

Ah that makes sense. Thank you for the clarification! I always thought there was a newer generation or model for the Xbox360 Kinect. So:

    Kinect V1 = Kinect360
Kinect V2 = Kinect for Xbox ONE
