Maybe “add non steam game” and just start bear saber from steam?

There are three tracking modes when tracking hands, normal, responsive, and one more that escapes me. The responsive option is much less jittery, more vr controller like.

TLDR:Setup your kinect with your controllers, then quit and restart, THEN setup the leap. At that point, you do not need to calibrate again.

I suggest you calibrate the kinect’s positioning first, then work on getting the leap. I see your issue, and the only thing I can gather, is I am not initially setting it all up with a leap motion. Likewise, if the auto calibrate does not work properly, choose th manual option, and align the camera and sensors yourself, so no need for “hands to the side”.

Depending on the model I am using, will depend where I do the initial calibrate from. I have a xenomorph avatar, that if I calibrate in the middle like normal, its wonky, so I stand about a foot ahead and it lines up correctly, yet still keep my hands back where they should be. I find my hand position somtimes dictates my head and hips moving forward, so perhaps move up or back, but still keep hands on the avatars hands. Imho, this really depends, I would say, get the Y/X Bot full body working before moving to a custom one. Also messing around with height also helps, which is sometimes easier than using Driver4vr’s controls.

Most of the time, for me, if it ever throws that error, one or maybe two more attempts will get it to “hook”. If ever its stubborn past that, restarting my system has so far worked. The times it says that, and kept saying it, I moved something and a cable came detached legit. Otherwise, it simply takes a few tries to hook, assuming you have gotten it to work already.

I find my system does not like me using both touch controllers and leap(index config), i have 4 hands but no finger action.
