Yeah, I’ve checked it. I have just standard Microsoft Win 10 antivirus. Disabling everything there didn’t help though, server still crashes. Once I’ve manage to run it by manually launching the server beforehand, but it crashed after I hit calibration button as far as I recall. So basically I’m just waiting for fix. I’d even beta test if it needed (@Greg)
keltriveraParticipantBTW I’m using it for VRChat too 🙂
keltriveraParticipantWell…I use riftcat + kinect360 + 4 PS Eye cameras and 2 Move controllers (yeah, I believe you need 4 cameras for it to start being usable-ish in 360 degrees). So basically I just run PSMove service (only version 1.1 of steamvr bridge works for me) then open Riftcat and then – start driver4vr. Kinect is recognised as it should be and I get skeleton tracking in preview tab. Everything works ok with just head tracking, but If I try to use it for body tracking as well (the lower on-off switch in driver4vr app) then SteamVR says that Steam VR server is not launched. If I press the server restart button then server restarts, but it stops driver4vr. So yeah…it doesn’t really work for me.
keltriveraParticipantYeah. Though Riftcat + kinect360 + PSMove setup still crashes SteamVR server when I attempt to turn on body tracking 🙁 only head tracking works for me
keltriveraParticipantHow did you manage to get legs tracking with kinect 360 and riftcat? It stops steamvr server each time I try it. Only head tracking works for me. Do you use head tracking too?
keltriveraParticipantI had this issue with Riftcat and Kinect 360. The solution for me was simple: you just have to face your headset straight, to Kinect’s position and recenter it. Only after that launch SteamVR and Driver4VR. Works every time for me.
keltriveraParticipantAfter all it was a PSMoveService issue. Calibration gave wrong camera positions, that’s why it couldn’t synchronize with kinect. I’ve installed older PSMove SteamVR bridge version and it works now with kinect head tracking.

Thank you. Let me know if you need some help with testingkeltriveraParticipantSo…I’ve bought Driver4VR since found that strange “Trial” lable near the body tracking section…I’ve gone as far as CLEAR WINDOWS REINSTALLATION with only Kinect SDK, RiftCat and Driver4VR installed, but the problem remains: Head tracking with Kinect SDK works fine, but if I add body tracking, SteamVR says that I nead to run SteamVR server which means it crashed. I REALLY need some help with it 🙁
keltriveraParticipantWell I gave up on finger tracking at the moment. Now I have another huge problem with my RiftCat + Kinect 360 setup: it crushes SteamVR server for some reason if I choose body tracking from kinect. I described it here: Problem
keltriveraParticipantSorry, looks like the attachments in previous post have incorrect captions: those with head position tracking only do not crash, those with body tracking crash.
keltriveraParticipantAfter buying my Kinect 360 I’m experiencing the same problem, however I don’t have any OpenVR-InputEmulator installed.
My setup is:
-Mobile Headset connected via Riftcat
-Kinect for XBox 360Riftcat and Kinect seems to properly work (Riftcat always worked with SteamVR an I checked the Kinect with SDK 1.8 developer tools)
For some reason, if I choose body tracking using Kinect, SteamVR is crashing with “VR Server has stopped working” error. If I choose to use Kinect for head tracking only, everything works great. But I really nead that body tracking…
Here are vrserver logs and settings with a setup which crashes and with one which doesn’t.Attachments:

I believe I’ll settle with just kinect 360 for now and see what can I do with this. I guess I also need some bluetooth gamepad (or 2) with gyroscope and analog stick for moving in VRChat. May be leap motion could be a better option for finger tracking though, but I don’t know how would I control moving with it. Do you possibly have any idea on that? I mean controlling one’s movement (locomotion) in VRChat with Kinect+Leap Motion?
