Dream on. No chance, not even two
Far to cpu heavy
Buy a MR hmd
jamieukguy147ParticipantDo yourself a favour and just buy a Windows mixed reality headset and be happy 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantGreat will test tonight… I was getting vr server issues 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantGuide is inside driver4vr
jamieukguy147ParticipantPS move controllers don’t work correctly with steamvr… Just doesn’t work well.
I would use something else, this software is completely broken
jamieukguy147ParticipantCool
Just to let you know 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantNot sure… try latest beta driver from yesterday. Here https://www.driver4vr.com/forums/topic/release-3-1-0-cpu-improvements/#post-1964
jamieukguy147ParticipantDoes this work with riftcat? 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantMaybe try adjusting the position of your kinect?… do you have it above your head poiting down?

jamieukguy147ParticipantThe problem guys is the CPU grunt 2 kinects would cause… Its to much power for even a top of the range CPU.
I’m at 50% cpu with just kinect one 2700k @4.5ghz… You would probably need 2 x seperate usb pic 3.0 cards as well.
Maybe kinect and 2x PS cameras behind you?
jamieukguy147ParticipantDoes Driver4vr use all 4 cores of a CPU or just 2?
jamieukguy147ParticipantLed bulb tracking seems much better from testing than skeleton, which is unplayable for most games.
I would really focus on the tracking of controllers.. A option box in Driver4vr menu you can select on and off for controller placement for arrow games and option off for normal games like shooting with guns etc.
If you can just get the led bulb tracking of controllers improved this would be brilliant.
As an example, try and play the game eleven table tennis and you will see how bad tracking is
Keep up the good work!
jamieukguy147ParticipantHi Greg… Just tested.
With these settings
CPU has dropped like you said about 70%!!!!
My question is though… Led tracking of controllers is much better than skeleton tracking,?
Led light bulb controllers
About 40-50% cpuI haven’t had chance to test controllers, as this update stopped them from working again, but I will redo PSMove calibration 🙂

jamieukguy147ParticipantYou work fast Greg!!… I will test tomorrow… On the jack Daniels tonight.
🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantAre PS move controllers the best controller you can buy for use with Driver4vr?
I read vive use 1000hz tracking and PS move controllers are 120hz
Is there a better controllers to buy somewhere?
I’m guessing Bluetooth can’t use high frequency
🙂

jamieukguy147ParticipantGreat 🙂
By the way I bought a old ps3 controller with gyro calibration and it’s much better.
I wouldn’t advise anyone to use new ps4 controllers as they are not good!
jamieukguy147Participant7ftx9ft
jamieukguy147ParticipantMy current kinect is 1.5 high.
I could place it 3m on my ceiling pointing down. My plays pace is very small..
Would this give better smoother tracking?
Or is 3m to high?
🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantI’m the same Greg, really high CPU usage 2700k @4.5ghz
Will you ever be able to reduce the load? Or have you reached your limit

jamieukguy147ParticipantI fixed window problem, lowering resolution 🙂
You will see from my picture my room is very bright, even with kinect exposure set low.
Would adding a small filter like you did on your kinect 360 help me?… As it should lower light
Look at kinect view box in picture below room is bright! As setup by windows

I’m about to test controllers with led light bulb now and see if it works… Last time I tested it, no controllers showed up in headset… I’m guessing this was because I didn’t do colour calibration?
🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantOk I have seemed to have fixed all though the tracking of controllers isn’t good at all.
My Asus BT device had saved all PS move past setups from PSMoveBridge which caused conflicts.
I have my kinect on top of TV about 1.5m high and I game close to it.
Will mounting it about 3m high make a better experience? As well as buying controllers with gyro?
One last thing… When you implement led bulb for controllers will that be a much better than current skeleton controller tracking?
Its important that people who move from PS Bridge or other PSMove drivers completely wipe all saved BT data from their usb
🙂

jamieukguy147ParticipantPosts about Driver4vr is at the bottom
jamieukguy147Participanthttp://forum.pimaxvr.com/t/will-pimax-8k-work-with-ps-move/4701/15
I did do, but not anymore…. Maybe it has caused effects though and I need to delete traces of it
jamieukguy147ParticipantWill send logs tomorrow 🙂
Some good news from someone on pimax.. Thought to post here.
“On my side, reverting to SteamVR (Non Beta) did get the PSMove controllers buttons working
Remove PSMoveSteamVRBridge drivers if haven’t already, they are not needed for Driver4VR.
The new issue is laggy tracking with or without head tracking, controlllers are giving delayed input by a mile, LOL..”
jamieukguy147ParticipantAnother question 🙂 if I’m playing vr and my wife or children are behind me moving around in the room will this effect kinect tracking?
jamieukguy147ParticipantNot to well to be honest… I have to keep pressing select to change the position. I’m not to sure if this is the lack of gyro or your software.
Thanks Greg!!! 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantIf you could make this a priority please… 5 other members on pimax forums with the exact issue.
:)!!!!!!
jamieukguy147ParticipantI have installed “none” beta steamvr and it’s exactly the same… Controllers still don’t work
Please fix Greg 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantWill test tomorrow and report back 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantYes steam beta for me.. Should we try none beta?
jamieukguy147Participant@darkagna are you using PS move controllers like me?…. Just curious 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantYes I see controllers and they move round.. Pressing select to fix controller position works fine.
None of the buttons work like you have described so cant move outside of game menus as impossible to start game
There is another member on pimax forums with the same problem as well.
Its strange as in PSmoveconfig all buttons show as working.. I have just tried resetting controllers and it didn’t fix it unfortunately.
Thanks! 🙂

jamieukguy147ParticipantI have now installed this software “correctly” and 100000000000% the controllers buttons do not work during steamvr game play.
I have clicked preview on controllers and all the buttons presses show as working, but during games they do not.
I have the latest PS move controllers which don’t support full calibration via filling dots, maybe this is a reason?
I just need the trigger and buttons to work :(…. Any ideas anyone?
- This reply was modified 6 years, 8 months ago by jamieukguy147.
jamieukguy147ParticipantI will do what you have said 🙂
I notice that when I test the buttons in PSmoveconfig they all work fine, but then don’t after running Driver4vr and playing a game.
I will keep testing.
Is there any way to get full 360 tracking? I don’t mind adding something to my headset
Thanks for guiding me, very cool of you
jamieukguy147ParticipantI got controllers working via selecting skeleton rather than light bulb tracking.
Controllers buttons don’t work though apart from steam menu button.. Controllers don’t seem straight.
jamieukguy147ParticipantStill high CPU for me 2700k 4.7ghz
jamieukguy147ParticipantOne kinect is causing 35% CPU usage and 100% while gaming
Two kinect would be a nightmare
jamieukguy147ParticipantCould you check my Driver4vr settings.
Deepoon E3 headset
PS move controllers
PS move service running with controllers connected via BTWhen I press power button on controller it brings up steam window, but controllers aren’t tracked so cant choose anything
Thanks so much
jamieukguy147ParticipantYes I have the newer controllers without magnetometer calibration
Can Greg or someone confirm if this is the reason why it’s not working?
^Thanks for your help
- This reply was modified 6 years, 8 months ago by jamieukguy147.
jamieukguy147ParticipantNo still not working.. both controllers light up, but refuse to show in headset or vibrate on touch.
I’m using ASUS USB-BT400… latest ps move controllers
jamieukguy147ParticipantKinect one v2
- This reply was modified 6 years, 8 months ago by jamieukguy147.
jamieukguy147ParticipantThanks Greg 🙂
My ps move controllers aren’t working
.. Do I need to add them in device manager?- This reply was modified 6 years, 8 months ago by jamieukguy147.
jamieukguy147ParticipantBrilliant!!
The higher I can mount my kinect, the better tracking it will give?
jamieukguy147ParticipantDo I need to use leap motion?
jamieukguy147ParticipantThanks, I will test now.
I have linked ps move controllers with psmoveservice but don’t seem to work while gaming?…
Happy Xmas!
Trying to setup so family can play
jamieukguy147ParticipantI’m using Xbox 2 kinect not 360 🙂
jamieukguy147ParticipantI have this same issue!… I get past step one then move in far away different positions and keeping getting boooooos!
What could be wrong?
