The only comparison that came to me; it is like taking the gyro from cellphone, there is an application that I used while ago (trinus vr) to stream pc content (games) to cardboard (sony xp5 and homido vr) that take gyro from cell (input) and emulate mouse (output).. so it is “gyro (in) to mouse (out)”concept.

    Hopes it helps

    Regards

Hi Greg, It is really good to hear that maybe you can add this feature to your driver. I want to help you to understand how it is supposed to work…
Please forget about VORPX gyro (it only works throgh steam vr), VORPX is only for generating SBS view (like Tridef or Reshade). We want the Pimax 4K gyro (looks up, down, left and right) emulate mouse movement (foward, backward, left and right) only that. When you use Pimax 4K as second monitor (video mode in Piplay soft) steam vr does not work and VORPX can not use Pimax´s gyro. Hopes you understand clearer the features we need to get it work.

    Regards and thanks

Hi Fabian, I do not think that 0.1% of performance difference … I am sure it is a lot more !!! I had been asking this feature mouse emulation with Gyroscope as input to Pimax Team but they are on Pimax 8K.

    Thanks anyway

Hi Fabian, in Piplay Video Mode (Extended mode in Win) you actually have the HMD as another monitor, so the resources (CPU, GPU , RAM)are not wasted like Steam VR interface, you have more flexibility in how to manage HMD resolutions too (like Nvidia DSR, Custom Resolutions, etc) and doing so I actually play in 5K with several SBS injectors (VORPX, TRIDEF, RESHADE). Now, with lastest Piplay version (in video mode), in my case, I can not use for eg Opentrack with Pimax (gyroscope as input and mouse as output), because it can not detect it anymore. Now I hoped that Greg could do it with his software Drive 4. Solutions are Welcome.

    Thanks

Hi Greg, it works with Steam VR, but we are talking in (windows) extended mode (in Piplay it is called Video Mode). In this mode you use injectors like VORPX, Tridef, to have SBS (Side by Side) feature and play it on Pimax 4K (or any HMD). But the problem as stated before, there is no Gyro support. That is what I expect from you (soft) to support it. And the best way is Gyro (input) and mouse emulation (output).

    Thank you Greg

Hi Greg, thank you for looking solutions. It is simple (I guess), It is just mouse emulation with Pimax Gyro, the best example that I can give is Opentrack. When it worked, it took oculus gyro as input and then it emulates mouse as output, so you can play any game with gyro movements and you see it as mouse. Hope you understand my english, it is no my native languaje.

    Thanks

Hi Greg, any news about supporting Pimax Gyroscope as mouse emulation in Video Mode (extended mode)???

    Thanks

Yes,I was wrong, only gyro as input and mouse as output. In that way I was trying to explain. If that possible you can have gyro in all games. Thanks. Hope you can add to your software.

    Hi Greg,
let me be more clear, When you use Pimax 4K (with Piplay) you have 2 modes; Pimax mode (to use with Steam Vr and Oculus home) and Video mode (for movies). Now in Video mode Pimax 4K does not have headtracking (Gyro is on by default) or for example Opentrack does not detect it. In Video mode (extended mode)I use injectors like VORPX, tridef and reshade to bring SBS gameplay that I think is more smooth and fast. Please give it try and support it with your software.

    Thanks

Thank you Du1go, I used to play with Opentrack when Piplay was emulating to be oculus in extended mode but the latest piplay versions does not work like that way anymore (new driver I think). Pimax Gyro as input and mouse emulation as output, hope Greg could do something to fully paid for the software. 😉

    Thanks

Thank you Greg for you reply.
Normally I play games with Pimax 4K in Video Mode (extended mode) SBS with injectors like VORPX, Tridef and Reshade, but Piplay (Pimax 4K software) does not support headtracking. The best way to play it would be input Headtracking (Pimax 4K Gyro) and Mouse emulation output and there you can play anygame. Hope you can make it work.

    Thank you
