I am afraid the problem is that I am smoothing Kinect position. You can see it in Kinect settings. If you parameter to 1 it will give you almost immediately position of head but it will be skaky. I must check if I can make any better way to get head position out of the Kinect and have some ideas. But I need release body tracking first as it is almost done.

    Casetero,
Can you increase Head position smooth in Simple physics section of Kinect ?
Also recuce Head speed factor. That should give you more precise tracking. Let me know.

    Hello,
You can try it with Friend membership when it is released as all other features.

    Hi,
I would say you need to check if Kinect is working properly in first place even before Driver4VR.

    Get Kinect SDK
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40278

And then navigate to any of test apps like one that do skeleton tracking and tell me if that works.

    Hello,
Unfortunately whole idea behind Driver4VR is that it is on SteamVR.
But I can take a look. Can you show me more precisely how you would lie to play and what titles?

    How about this:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Virtoba-S1-Daydream-Controller-9-Axis-Gyro-Bluetooth-4-2-RTL8762A-Compatible-with-Universal-VR-Headset/32827951480.html

We have really few options here.
First of all is hand tracking and I can see Kinect here.

Then we have orientaiton and again we have few options:
    1. PS Move
    2. Wii
    3. Daydream
    4. FreeTrack

I prefer Daydream cause it has best quality based on description. Howeer I did not try this.
Wii needs IR to track Yaw otherwise there will be drift. It has no magnetometer… There is also Nunchak that has only acceleration data so it would be pain really.
PS Move also has good rotation quality + BULB that can be tracked precisely.

I am personally to do Daydream. What do u think?

Yes. I am preparing for it. My recent video with full body tracking was a step in this direction cause it integrates coordinates from two systems. In video it is Oculus and Kinect:

    Vive Trackers controllers with Kinect

I have one question… Would that be a step in this direction if you could only move your head 360? I think now when you turn around then tracker is hidden. We could add hand tracking later.

With current Kinect I am using skeleton tracking and I rely mostly on what Kinect provides in skeleton tracking…

I created topic for new feature to improve headset tracking quality.

Let me know if any solution would be ok for you. If there is anything I need clarify let me know.

    Johny,
can you tell how did you make PS Navi working? other people have problems setting it up.

you would like to map virtual rotation to ps navi. yes?

i am new to wiimote but as I can see there is way to make it work without major drift. unless you have IR leds but it is yet another solution.
perhaps with Kinect and one IR led we could make something.
At the moment I got one wiimote plus and do some tests and will see what can be done.

    Hi,
Ok. So you use Kinect 360. When it starts then press Settings button and you should see visualisation of skeleton. Make sure it is tracked and set up your kinect and room.
If there is any other problem let me know.

Please let me know which features of Driver4VR you are using? Is this head tracking, what is source? Or Leap Motion?
Unfortunately forum does not allow embed screen shots. Please share link to your screen shot.

    Coxo,
You have trial period for a week to decide if you want to buy or not.
If you tell me which function does not work for you I will try to help. Is this head tracking? Kinect or Leap Motion?

Bas, do you have riftcat or trinus and then did you reset headset orientation?
I am away till end of week but will test on Monday.
I think it will be ok for now to keep general Bugs forum if we stick to one topic one thread. In this case we will continue as we are I think 😉

I have two different clones of this with Polish brand:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mocute-Bluetooth-Remote-Control-VR-Controller-Gamepad-Joystick-Wireless-Android-VR-Game-Pad-for-3D-Virtual/32758382392.html

They are similar hwoever I can see difference in construction so it is definitively not 1 to 1 copy with different brand. Unfortunately I cannot tell which one works better or not.

    Ronny,
I understand you use PS Move. Please check with config tool if tracking of all bulbs work without any issue.

Flex, yes I think that would be possible, driver could provide delta orientation for the headset based on difference between orientation from tracker and gyro.
there is however small risk that it will not work. i have seen that orientation changes might not work ideally on all headsets – at the moment only CV1.
also Kinect has IR camera and it can ready face direction.

But this is piece of work and I am not sure if can pick it in short term.

    Hello,
Yes, taking cheap parts often is enough but sometimes does not work so well.
I had urgent case recently and purchased very expensive DVI to HDMI adapter and later ordered about 8 times cheaper(!) and I found that this cheaper was giving me extra 5 horizontal blue lines on monitor…

    Hi,
Yes, I am gonna fix this in one of following releases but not necesairy in next one.
First physics parameter is about smoothing position. The last one is how many samples we take to calculate speed forecast and middle one is basically level to which we apply speed forecast.

So first is smoothing and lagging and second and third are adding forecast to correct this lag. I will put it in one place that info.

Yes, I have also seen that.
However I can only implement something that will map to OpenVR. I cannot see any such functionality in OpenVR like running or jumping as such.
What I can do is to add body tracking and I am gonna do it in next 2-3 weeks.
So for games that support it, you will have 3 vive 😉 trackers taken from Kinect.
