I managed to do it and have two Gear VR in my bluetooth devices, but my detailed post on how to do it is waiting for moderation. Once Greg approves it, you will all be able to see the steps.

I’ve got the same issue. Tried messing with the registry by copying what was being hadded then trying to add those registry lines when the other controller was added but it just didn’t work 🙁

Not sure if there is a work around.

I tried BlueSoleil driver, but each time I try to run the Low Power bluetooth mode, it just close, so I can’t add anything to see if the BlueSoleil drivers would work better.

For those who have been able to get the GearVR controller connected in windows, how did you do it? I can’t get it to pair in windows when searching for bluetooth devices.

    Thanks!

    Here’s the details:

Phone: Galaxy A8 + Gear VR
    Connection through SteamVR: Using ALVR

With the basic setup, I can only rotate the controller, but I cannot move it farther away to grap something since it’s only 3DOF.

While browsing, I found the following freepie script:
    https://github.com/dnnkeeper/ALVR/releases

In the file ALVR_NoVR_v03.7z, there is a script called “GearVRExtendedController.py”. With this script, I can just swipe my thumb on the GearVR controller trackpad and the virtual arm will be able to move like a 6DOF controller.

My question was if I use the Kinect and the wiimote using Driver4VR, will I be able to just extend my physical arm in front of me and my virtual arm will also extend to be able to grap something in the game? Or I will only be able to move it up and down and left and right, not front backward?

How are Blade and Sorcery movements?

I want to try it with Gear VR w/ ALVR + Kinect and Wiimotes. Would that be good enough to play the game?

I am worried about arms extension in game and wanted to know if the Kinect with Driver4VR allow arm extension to be detected.

    Thanks!
