no, but it seems to be an issue affecting 2 other people ive commented on, happening for someone trying to use switch joycons. im trying to use bluetooth controllers and a 360 controller, neither seem to function, in the same way as described here. it seems like it might be a steamvr issue, since it was similarly described a few weeks ago as an issue happening for steamvr beta users.

ahh, same thing here still, mapping works sort of doing it from ONLY the button next to the leap drop down, buttons just wont work in steamvr anything, and the psuedo vive mode gives me vive controllers in steamvr home, but in the dashboard or anything else, i get steam controllers still, all it did was switch them from oculus controllers to vive in steamvr home exclusively. if its any identifier, sometimes the buttons work, but ONLY the system button, and it usually only performs the walkinvr actions like move or rotate, i cannot replicate the issue. also once i got all the buttons to bind, but they all bound to the system button, this time they all opened the dashboard, disabling dashboard made them stop working, i was also unable to replicate this.

same deal here, even with the psuedo-vive mode on in the 3.1 update, its still steam controllers in anything besides steamvr home. and did you get the buttons to work ingame, or the mapping? if you got the buttons functioning, could you share your config (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\steamvr.vrsettings). because i can get the mapping to work, i just cant get the buttons to actually do anything.

i have the exact same problem. except ive tried all different types of controllers…… the way to get it to work is to click the controller d4vr- left / right and then click button mapping next to leap motion drop down. although ive run into the issue where sometimes they work, but dont do what i want them to do, but rarely, and unrepeatable, most just dont work at all….. but this way in the config it adds the device, the axis or button, the controller d4vr left or right. so it appears like its all bound. i seriously need some help with this as well, ive been trying for nearly a week.

    “{D902AB80-9443-11E7-8001-444553540000} Axis 4” : “d4vr_right 0 0 40 0”,
    “{D902AB80-9443-11E7-8001-444553540000} Axis 5” : “d4vr_left -2 0 40 0”,
    “{D902AB80-9443-11E7-8001-444553540000} Axis 7” : “d4vr_left 3 0 40 0”,
    “{D902AB80-9443-11E7-8001-444553540000} Button 10” : “d4vr_right 6 0 40 0”,
    “{D902AB80-9443-11E7-8001-444553540000} Button 5” : “d4vr_right 7 0 40 0”,
    “{D902AB80-9443-11E7-8001-444553540000} Button 7” : “d4vr_right 2 0 40 0”,
    “{D902AB80-9443-11E7-8001-444553540000} Button 8” : “d4vr_right 3 0 40 0”,
    “{D902AB80-9443-11E7-8001-444553540000} Button 9” : “d4vr_right 6 0 40 0”
disabling windows power management in steam vr settings seemed to give my controller a proper id. now my issue is i only see vive controllers in steam home even with vive mode on, steam controllers in everything else, and every mapped button opens the vr dashboard….. disabling the dashboard makes them do nothing.
