bad.booParticipant
do calibration on driver4vr. that has fixed that situation for me.
bad.booParticipantOk I bought this PCI card (the rosewill PCI-e card recomended above) and it seems t work well.
On normal use in my PC, it didn’t disconnect. On the weekend I will try to use it with the VR set.So, so far looks good 🙂
bad.booParticipantOh thanks, I will look into that.
cheersbad.booParticipantHi, any help please?
Everything seems to work fine, just when I get to the Steam Home, the HMD rotates one of my controllers. Like it is conflicting.bad.booParticipantI bought this adapter and it seemed to have fixed the issue:
Rosewill RC-508 USB 3.0 PCI-E Express CardAlso, have a look at this thread where we were commenting about it:
No supported USB 3.0 port detected with expansion card installed- This reply was modified 6 years, 1 month ago by bad.boo.
2018-02-07 at 03:55 in reply to: No supported USB 3.0 port detected with expansion card installed #3017bad.booParticipantI got this PCI card today and it seems to work well. I haven’t tried the VR but ate least all this time I have been on my PC I haven’t seen the disconnecting and reconnecting issue. So it should be fine.
this is the car I ordered:

oh well, I should be getting it this week. So I can come back with my experience with that. A bit worried now lolbad.booParticipantSorry, I am not sure what preview.
Do you mean during calibration, where I do gyroscope, etc?bad.booParticipantAfter disconnection and connection, the PSmoves won’t move anymore (they stay still), only the buttons work. So I have to restart the trinus, steamVR and D4VR
2018-01-29 at 23:29 in reply to: No supported USB 3.0 port detected with expansion card installed #2755bad.booParticipantoh well, I just ordered the same thing.
Did you install the drivers for that pci-e card?bad.booParticipantI bought the same thing (HDE usb ac power adaptor), but keep disconnecting after a few minutes.
I bought the usb pci-e card expansion (mentioned above and waiting for delivery now). It should work and if it doesn’t, then at least I can use it for other things.
bad.booParticipantThanks, I have a kinect 360 as well. I will order this PCI-e card.
I have that issue with my kinect disconnecting every 5 minutes or so. I can come back after I try this, with comments.
cheersbad.booParticipantI will try the same then. I have tried all USB ports I have (3.0 and 2.0) and keeps disconnecting, so the usb hub or the pci usb controller (as you said) could be solution.
bad.booParticipantAny solution for this?
Happens to me sometimes and I have to restart everything again to make it work :/
I am using V1.7 for kinect.Or else, I think I will have to use an USB hub, as someone mentioned above.
bad.booParticipanthi @greg I just had a chance to check it today.
Just a little detail I can’t figure it out. I followed your advise to use LED lights for hand controllers and do the calibration color. This is what happens with my move controllers:
1- Left controller: works completely fine. Moves around space and can rotate.
2- Right controller: Moves around space but can’t rotate. But when I move my HMD, it rotates this controller. It is like the HDM and the right controller are conflicting each other.Could you help me out with this matter?

bad.booParticipantHi @greg,
What I am looking to fix is the controllers.
If I choose “LED lights”, the PSmove only rotates 360 degrees but they don’t move around. When I choose “skeleton”, works better and both of them move, but only one of them can move and rotate (for example when I rotate my hand), and the other one only moves around the space, so no rotation.
I think I am almost there, I may have some conflict somewhere.
bad.booParticipantI have tried 3.6 version now. It works better and I can see more compatibility. But when I though I got, I found some details while trying it.
Who has this working completely now with 3.6?
I don’t know if I should uninstall everything and delete every folder (regarding steam and D4VR) and start from scratch?
Is freepie or steamvr.vrsettings needed? as I don’t see them to be mentioned lately.I am using PSmove with kinect.
bad.booParticipantSo far skeleton for head and hand works better, but I get some conflict at some point.
Not sure what is going on.thanks for looking into that.

But I can’t move my ps move inside the VRsteam Room. I can only rotate them and press buttons, but not able to move them around the space. Also, I am moving the PSmoves but I see the vive controllers instead inside the SteamVR Room. Is this how it should be?
bad.booParticipant@greg
I am not sure what steamvrsettings should we use?
I created a steamvrsettings when I configured psmovebridge, but I think this will not work with driver4vr. (I followed one of Daley videos on youtube, at that moment)bad.booParticipantThanks, Will try this tonight.
bad.booParticipantUninstall psmovebridge. You will have conflicts with that installed
bad.booParticipantHi @Greg,
I was trying the test version, but I am having trouble with the alignment of the Ps Move controllers. They move when I move my head. In other words, when I am at the steamVR Home, the blue laser is controlled by the HMD. The buttons work and well.
Another issue, is that one PS move is aiming to the screen (as normal) but the other one is aiming at me. Don’t how to fix that?
Edit:
Found an answer on my second question at another thread.
so you should keep them in direction of headset and calibrate yaw.
for ps move you need hold select and daydream volume up for few seconds.

bad.booParticipantHi Greg,
Yes that is correct. I am interested in using my PSmove controllers.
I tried the test version you uploaded recently and it was working better on my test, just I didn’t have time to calibrate it properly. Will try later and let you know. And yes, I uninstall the PSmovebridge as well.
Thanks
bad.booParticipantno one?
bad.booParticipantThanks Greg, very appreciated for your efforts.
bad.booParticipant@Greg Driver, so you advise to go up to v1.8?
v1.7 has incompatibilities with driver4vr?bad.booParticipantBut if v1.8 works for you, then keep it. Use the developer tools to test the kinect and worked fine. But the v1.7 seemed to have better compatibility for me (and for other people posting on its forums).
For me, fresh install is the last resource to do, it is annoying lolCan you do a rollback instead?
bad.booParticipantGet kinect SDK 1.7 and kinect tool developer 1.7 if you are using the kniect 360 on a win10.
I had the v1.8 but after reading some forums, they said to use v1.7 instead for win10.
Well, just saying
bad.booParticipantwe really need a guide for this as you mentioned on the first post. I don’t know what else to do.
bad.booParticipantany solution for this? I am getting frustrated here, spent the whole day trying to make it work.
I had psmove bridge working before and I uninstalled this after reading the comments. But nothing. The buttons don’t respond on steamVR, but on Driver4VR seem all ok. Making a clean installation would work?
Any help would be appreciated.bad.booParticipantI am in the same boat. Hope you get a reply
bad.booParticipantbad.booParticipantThe server does not allow me to upload the driver4vr.log for security reasons 🙁

bad.booParticipantAwesome! so I won’t invest on PS eyes, usb cable extensions nor usb hubs. I like this.
thanks mate- This reply was modified 6 years, 2 months ago by bad.boo.
bad.booParticipantOk, this guy was doing the testing and he ducks and walks around:
I just ordered the adapter to connect my kinect 360 to my PC and get the driver4vr software licence. I can’t wait.
bad.booParticipantI am interested in this as I have trinus PSVR. Driver4VR + trinus PSVR work fine together?
