Now that I have my kinect One and driver4vr app installed, about 75% of the time starting steam VR I get this error. Anybody else have this problem?
2017-09-20 at 07:09 #482Greg DriverKeymasterHello,
I am investingating it as it does not happens often. There seems to be no specific bug in driver but some way it interacts with steamvr.greg
2017-09-26 at 20:58 #545jonbotParticipantJust gave this another try now that the update is out. Same problem. I’d really like to buy this, but right now it seems like it won’t work for me.
2017-09-26 at 21:00 #5462017-09-27 at 00:14 #549rakinekoParticipantI also encountered the same error many times,
Just solved by uninstalling this.
https://github.com/matzman666/OpenVR-InputEmulator/releases/tag/v1.0.3Driver4VR is used normally.
2017-09-27 at 00:41 #550jonbotParticipantDude, I think you just fixed me 🙂

can u send me logs as described here2017-09-27 at 17:34 #560rakinekoParticipantI installed OpenVR-InputEmulator again
An error was reproduced.About 5 times VRserver error occurred.
I Put the applicable Pastebin here.My Rig is
i7-3770K MEM 32GB GTX 1060
Oculus Rift CV1, Oculus Touch x 2, Sensor x 3steamvr.vrsettings
https://pastebin.com/J8A2cPdrvrserver.txt
https://pastebin.com/XmDvN6YR2017-09-27 at 17:38 #562Greg DriverKeymasteri can see u use also other plugins. can u try disabling them and try again?
you use advanced settings and input emulator. correct?2017-09-27 at 18:07 #564rakinekoParticipantsorry, because I am not a Native English Talker
I using Google Translator. And that is correct.
I used advanced setting and input emulator.Uninstall(Disabled) the Input Emulator again,
About 10 times I run the Driver4VR,
VRServer error has not occurred about 10 times.I think that Input Emulator and Driver4VR are interfering with each other.
Advanced setting seems to be okay to use.
think that the current workaround is to not use Input Emulator.deleted vrserver.txt and got new log again.
I Put it in pastebin.steamvr.vrsetting #2

vrserver.txt #2

2017-09-27 at 18:27 #567Greg DriverKeymasteri will try with input emulator but not sure if I can do it this week.
how are u using both? i am curious.2017-09-27 at 18:40 #570rakinekoParticipantI understand you are busy. It’s is okay.
I used them on VRChat.using Advance Setting for various settings of SteamVR.
Because the Input Emulator was recommended by someone of Rift users at the VRChat Steam forum.
I also installed it. I do not know much about the effect of it.- This reply was modified 7 years ago by rakineko.

2017-09-28 at 08:36 #588rakinekoParticipantI am sorry for my stupid misunderstanding.
#564 is correct.Open-Input Emulater disabled(Uninstall).

2017-10-20 at 18:08 #819keltriveraParticipantAfter buying my Kinect 360 I’m experiencing the same problem, however I don’t have any OpenVR-InputEmulator installed.
My setup is:
-Mobile Headset connected via Riftcat
-Kinect for XBox 360Riftcat and Kinect seems to properly work (Riftcat always worked with SteamVR an I checked the Kinect with SDK 1.8 developer tools)
For some reason, if I choose body tracking using Kinect, SteamVR is crashing with “VR Server has stopped working” error. If I choose to use Kinect for head tracking only, everything works great. But I really nead that body tracking…
Here are vrserver logs and settings with a setup which crashes and with one which doesn’t.Attachments:

2017-10-23 at 18:16 #846keltriveraParticipantSo…I’ve bought Driver4VR since found that strange “Trial” lable near the body tracking section…I’ve gone as far as CLEAR WINDOWS REINSTALLATION with only Kinect SDK, RiftCat and Driver4VR installed, but the problem remains: Head tracking with Kinect SDK works fine, but if I add body tracking, SteamVR says that I nead to run SteamVR server which means it crashed. I REALLY need some help with it 🙁
2017-10-23 at 18:19 #847Greg DriverKeymaster@lkeltrivera,
sorry for inconvenience. i am looking on it.2017-10-24 at 04:05 #850keltriveraParticipant@Greg_Driver
