VR Controller Button Mapping

I bought 2 pairs of different kinds of vr controllers (so 4 controllers total) to use and test. I can connect them to my PC and they show up as VR Box controllers in the bluetooth devices, and they show up in the driver4vr software, but when I go to button map no events show up, and instead whenever I press a button on the controller, it changes the desired button mapping action.

For example, if I selected “Trigger” as the button I want to map, when I pres the trigger on the controller it changes the map button to “Axish”. So I know they are working and the inputs are registering with Windows, but they just do not show up as events in driver4vr. And I tried going through all the modes on all the controllers I bought(including game mode) and they all have this issue.

Anyone have any ideas?

you did not change controller to game mode and controller simply acts as additionoal input on your PC. in most cases this is @+B combination.
