you might still have ps move bridge installed?
it happened to few people and this was the case.2018-01-10 at 18:53 #2060
I have only installed PSMoveservice and PSMoveconfigtools
When i use the PSMoveconfigtools and check for the button press, they work!
They only not work inside the VRsystem

I had this issue before, the solution was to uninstall Driver4VR, STEAMVR also delete the Driver4VR section in the ‘steamvr.vrsettings’. Install them again and it should work fine.
Please note that you only need the ps move service so uninstall the ps move bridge service.2018-01-12 at 00:02 #2086
Thank you very much Jna for trying to help me…
I have already tried that way, unistalled SteamVR and Driver4VR, removed the “steamvrsettings” from the config and installed and removed the bridge
My sistem is actualy “vanilla” now, and it dont work
When i use the PSMove controller in other sistem (like che PSMoveConfigTool) the button works fine, when i enter the VR…not.
The rotation and position of the controller works good, buttons not…
i cant really understand what is going on…2018-01-12 at 13:22 #2088
I am having exactly the same problem as Pruld: everything works fine except in-game PS Move buttons.
Also, if I will try to hook up my Joy-Cons and assign buttons to Leap Motion, nothing will happen and buttons will not work in the game.2018-01-12 at 15:48 #2091
Jna – could you send me your steamvrsettings?
just to see what’s different by mine from yours
UselessMouth – if you find a way to fix this, please, share with me!!2018-01-12 at 19:29 #2093
can you upload logs ? change extension to txt.
greg2018-01-12 at 19:56 #2094
Here, i have installed Driver4VR 3.1.0 version to make a test…
It is not working2018-01-12 at 21:12 #2097
@Pruld, if I’ll fix it – will do!
I’ve got Windows 10, non-english, DVR and Game Mode disabled.
I use TrinusPSVR and I only installed PSMoveService, not bridge.
Driver4VR is 3.2.0, using with Kinect One.
SteamVR is current, not Beta.
I’ve tried previous versions of Driver4VR – PSMove buttons didn’t work anyway.
Adding PSMove button prompts to steamvr.vrsettings didn’t help.
Tried SteamVR Beta, didn’t help.2018-01-12 at 23:54 #2102JnaParticipant
Try also to delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\steamvr folder before installing steamvr again also make sure to run the ‘SteamVR_UninstallDriverWin64.bat’ of the steamvr bridge service.
I’m uploading my ‘steamvr.vrsettings’ file2018-01-13 at 19:52 #2132
If I use your steamvr.settings.txt, do I need to change anything in that file? Or the way you have it works fine?
I am in this situation as well.
I think because I was using the daley tech tutorials to use the psmove service with the ps eyes, it may be messing up everything.
Your steamvr.settings.txt looks way different than mine though.
I will try it and come back to see how it goes.2018-01-14 at 02:44 #2141renettyParticipant
I am having this issue too. I have tried reinstalling Steam VR and Driver4VR as mentioned above. I only have the psmoveservice and not the psmovebridge. I have am using the Kinect 360 (skeleton head tracking, light ball controller tracking), PS move controllers are paired and calibrated. Color tracking works. Rotation and movement of controllers works in Steam VR Home, but no other button mappings.
Any advice would be helpful.

Yep, my steamvr buttons dont work either.2018-01-14 at 14:36 #2150
We should sacrifice one of us to the VRGOD so maybe we can have the PSMove buttons back!2018-01-14 at 15:45 #2156
After 2 days of reinstalling and trying i managed to get everything working (lately i just got the problem that my steamvr showed me four controllers because of psmovesteamvrbridge, which is now deinstalled). Just these buttons won’t work :/2018-01-14 at 20:03 #2166
Maybe this button problem have something to do with this new SteamVR update?
Here’s the news.
I know, it’s only in beta, but who knows.2018-01-14 at 23:00 #2171
Maybe :/ hopefully its getting fixxed or Greg finds a workaround, i just managed to get everything working and now this button problem… sad af.2018-01-15 at 01:26 #2174
Open your Steam Library
Go to StreamVR
Right click on SteamVR and select “propiety”
Go to BETA
Install the beta and try your VR system
This worked for me!2018-01-15 at 08:46 #2183
Sorry to hear you have so many problems.
I am working now to upgrade to version 12 of OpenVR that is a bit different.
Until that happens you should go to openvr-imputemulator-temporary beta of SteamVR as @Pruld says.
My plan is to first upgrade to v12 and then I will add more logs to determine potential problems.
When you had before installed PSMoveServiceSteamVRBridge then the driver get’s installed into SteamVR folder. When you uninstall but not delete SteamVR folder it might happen that this driver will remain as it was not part of the original installation… Therefore you should remove SteamVR folder manually.
Before such issue only happened when you had bridge installed and removing it was effectively addressing problem.
In in 2-3 days I will release version using new API with additional logs and we will finally sort this out!

this is a version that will work on main/non-beta or input-emulator branch.
i tested this version today in depth and it works well for me.
now we will not have PseudoVive as I could not make it to work but rather emulate left and right touch controller but they don’t work 100% yet.
for vive emulation i tested today few games with either ps move or leap+gampad and all seems work fine.
tomorrow i will do more testing. if anyone interested to try installer is here. remember to return to main branch of steamvr.
it should also not treat body trackers as input 🙂

Hi Greg Could you re-issue the file. Because Google claims it has been removed.
I also have a problem with the PSmove buttons not working.

the changes are incorporated into main version already.
why would you like this one?
