Leap Motion Controller Gestures

Hi Greg

I’ve seen videos recently on YouTube where using certain drivers it’s possible for you to use hand gestures with the Leap Motion to act as button presses.

As far as I know about Driver4VR right now, the Leap Motion is only useful as a positional helper and two Bluetooth controllers are required for use.

Is there any way for you to have a look at the existing drivers that can do this and replicate them?

that would be possible but I found that key press were not reliable.
however I can agree that in vrchat that might be not so important.
so you would prefer using this method only ?

I’d definitely say so. You could always make it an option between just position tracking and also gesture tracking anyway 🙂

There’s quite a few games like VRChat where you don’t pick things up very often but use gestures all the time

Someone took it upon themselves to update the old controllerless drivers and they look really good

@ethereal – Have you got this working on a current build of SteamVR? I got the pathreg to list the leap motion folder and the icons showing up(greyed out), but gestures do nothing.
