ParticipantNo matter what I do with this sensor I get no readings, the green light is on, but I’ve tried skeleton, color, and IR to no avail. I’m lost on what to do now.

ParticipantHave you guys tried testing with the Kinect SDK?

ParticipantI’ve tried Color, Infrared, and Skeleton, all of them fail to show any picture change, as I stated in my OP.

ParticipantI fixed mine by switching the Kinect onto a different USB controller, away from the Rift and its sensors. Seems like a bandwidth issue which causes issues with the Kinect due to disconnecting from the SDK.

ParticipantI was getting a solid 30fps last night, login today suddenly I get 0 FPS no matter what I do.
I’m assuming there is no fix for this inconsistency yet?
I also tried separating all my devices on different ports, ect. I turned of the automatic power save mode on the usb hubs.
Still saying 0 for no reason that is apparent.2018-03-21 at 18:45 #4367Greg Driver
Keymastercan you please send me logs as described here?

ParticipantThen for whatever reason it kills my sound as well.
I get random solid 30fps, then the sound dies.
Then I reset the PC and I am back at square one with 0fps.
Autostart never works, and it seems like the kinect only wants to work when it feels like working. Nothing is consistent.-

ParticipantAnyword? The frequency of this increased, now Steam VR kicks me out of games back into the Oculus menu.
FPS are 29 with kinect and the SECOND I touch the oculus headset it dies to Zero. Then I will randomly loose my sound and need to restart my PC.2018-03-25 at 20:41 #4428Nebularus
ParticipantI just figured something else out:
-
Make sure your Kinect has its own mains supply and is not plugged into a strip adapter or anything like that! It will not get enough power!
Mine consistently works 100% of the time now it has its own direct mains supply and is on its own USB controller.

ParticipantI have tried that as well.
It keeps spazzing out and killing my audio when I use the software and its killing my streams.
What is also fun is that by the time it stays at a solid 29 FPS I need to restart my computer anyway because all my audio devices die, then I need to start the fight all over again.-

if SDK demos fail to show image there is something from with etierh your system or device.however in logs I can see last attempt was successful. so perhaps it got fixed somehow 🙂 can you try again any of sdk examples and if still don’t work then first I would check other PC. if that helps perhaps something wrong with pc. then eventually another kinect.
