Driver4u crashes when I hit the start button

I recently got my Kinect from Amazon in hopes to enhance my VR experience. The headset I have is the Acer Windows Mixed Reality one, the one that’s blue with the cameras in the front. The Kinect works fine and so does my headset, but the program won’t work…

Whenever I open it, Steam VR opens with the WMR portal. From a video I found, it’s preferable to turn off SteamVR’s autostart, but I can’t find the option to make that possible. What can I do in this case?

My PC specs:

Windows 10 Pro
(Updates have been turned off a couple of months ago due to a quirk in my machine)
ASUS M5A97 R2.0
AMD FX-8350
16 gigs of RAM
Radeon RX 570 Series graphics card
No SSD hard drives; just regular ones from Western Digital

I also forgot to mention that I have two 3.0 USB ports in the back and they are next to each other.

i see in logs that you do shutdown at the end so it seems all good.
can you try running kinect verifier together with vr, instead of starting driver4vr?
