Can't connect to SteamVR

Hi, i want to connect my switch joy-cons so i can use it in a VR game because i don’t have a proper VR headset, but whenever i try to start driver4vr, it says “Error: Unable to connect to SteamVR. Error: Init_HmdNotFound”
please help me with this. i am also trying to use it with an x360 kinect

It is not because you don’t have a headset. This is actually a old program, and SteamVR updated. So you need to lookup how to change SteamVR version. And version

1.1.59
