I haven’t had any issues with my sensors, ran the newest install of driver4vr and my sensors are reporting poor tracking quality. This is only showing in the oculus software not in steamvr but it would appear that the tracking doesn’t work for either.
2018-01-23 at 13:47 #2568missingchromieParticipantAs a side note my oculus is also reporting poor tracking quality.
2018-01-23 at 14:20 #2572Greg DriverKeymasterwhen calibration window is open it can happen. does it happen also when it is closed?
2018-01-23 at 14:22 #2574missingchromieParticipantYea, even when driver isnt running. I’ve restarted my computer 3 times now. Oculus is reporting poor tracking quality for both of my sensors.
2018-01-23 at 14:31 #2576missingchromieParticipantIs there a solution to this? I would like to give this software a second go 🙂
Does your software need both steamvr and oculus running to work?
What requirements must I meet to achieve the optimum functionality of your software?
I would love to get this working so I can one up those vive puck users 😛 come on.
2018-01-23 at 14:37 #2577Greg DriverKeymasterwhen driver is off, problem goes away ?
2018-01-23 at 14:38 #2578missingchromieParticipantNo, after restart oculus still reports that both of my sensors have poor tracking quality.
2018-01-23 at 14:38 #2579Greg DriverKeymasteri mean when you don’t start driver.
2018-01-23 at 14:39 #2580missingchromieParticipantI know its not my sensors that are at fault. It would be unlikely that both of them would fail at the same time. I have swapped usb ports as well. I will uninstall d4vr then restart to verify that it is the d4vr software causing the issue.
2018-01-23 at 14:40 #2581missingchromieParticipantYes, when I restart my computer.. and open oculus without driver running it states that both of my sensors are not functioning properly, as well as my oculus headset occasionally.
2018-01-23 at 14:40 #2582missingchromieParticipantI will restart now.
2018-01-23 at 14:42 #2583Greg DriverKeymasterit seems like problem is not related to my driver. perhaps hardware issue.
to be sure you can run Installer link and press ‘unregister driver’.2018-01-23 at 14:47 #2584missingchromieParticipantI uninstalled driver, and replugged in my sensors. They are all good now. But before with the driver installed it didn’t fix it.
2018-01-23 at 14:53 #2585missingchromieParticipantWould you like me to record this or something, I know its not my sensors, and it shouldn’t be my hardware.
2018-01-23 at 14:55 #2586Greg DriverKeymasterif you can install driver, then send me all logs as described here.
2018-01-23 at 14:57 #2587missingchromieParticipantThat link doesn’t work.
2018-01-23 at 15:00 #2588missingchromieParticipantIf you want the log file from d4vr here.

I de-registered your driver then uninstalled the software.
Restarted my computer.
Then noticed that I was still getting the poor tracking error messages.
Disconnected the kinect.
Restart my computer once again, and now I don’t have the issue.Do you know what the cause of this might be?
2018-01-23 at 15:23 #2591missingchromieParticipantIt is the kinect causing the issue, I moved it to a usb 3.0 port and I can now use my controllers. I would have already done this but every time I use my 3.0 ports for the oculus devices it states that its incompatible.
This information is relevant to anyone else who may be having similar issues.
2018-01-23 at 15:49 #2592Greg DriverKeymastercool. i should also figure it out 🙂
