This seems more like an oculus issue that i had ages ago. How much space do you have in your room? What is the distance between the play area and the kinect? Are you having any usb disconnects recently?
If it is the kinects issue there are two possible reasons why this happens.
1. The driver for the vr server (file) is messed up (unfortunately cant find the forum that Greg) helped out with.
2. Could be an usb bandwidth/power delivery for your oculus/usb ports. I would recommend turn off usb power management for optimal performance
